Matira Bush Camp, Maasai Mara

A camp set in a small forest, surrounded by birds and wild cats.
It's the perfect combination of price and quality,
with European‑style service.

Matira Bush Camp

Matira Bush Camp is a small and cozy eco‑camp. It features just 14 tents furnished in traditional Maasai style, thoughtfully arranged to let you relax in peace and enjoy the surrounding nature.

The camp is located in the very heart of the Maasai Mara Reserve, just a short drive from the Mara River. Your journey into Africa’s incredible wilderness begins right on the camp’s premises.

In our oasis, you’ll be cared for by a close‑knit team of experienced and friendly staff. Most of them grew up in the Maasai Mara and have been working with us for many years, ensuring our signature personalised approach to holiday planning.

Our restaurant uses the freshest local ingredients, with most vegetables and herbs coming from our own organic farm. The menu offers a blend of Kenyan, European and Indian cuisine. Our chefs are always happy to accommodate any dietary preferences and meet specific dietary requirements.

We have a cozy lounge bar with a wide selection of alcoholic and non‑alcoholic drinks, where you can relax after your adventures in the savanna and share your experiences with friends.

Every evening, we invite our guests to gather around the campfire and enjoy the sounds of the night savanna.

Free WiFi is available in all public areas.

Electricity is provided during the evening, morning, and lunchtime hours. Charging your cameras, phones, and laptops is available without restrictions at the reception.
